"Ultimate Goal" 16x20 oil on canvas

I just finished this...it took less time than normal and I think it has something to do with the size rather than the subject. I feel this title needs an explanation so here it is. I believe everyone is seeking the calmness that comes from understanding and knowing when one can make a difference. The blue color represents this and the rest is what one goes through to achieve that serenity.

  1. Sheila, as always a beautiful creation of yours on canvas. According to your thoughts about this painting, serenity is a most difficult feat to achieve. I agree with you on that, as I believe many people will agree, as well.

  2. Thank you Gerri D...Once we achieve the serenity that we search for, we cherish it and never forget it...it may be fleeting or it may stay a while but we are aware of it and always searching to find it again. Some people find it meditating or as I find it through my art. There is nothing more serene to me than sitting and letting my brush go wherever it wants to go.I love the calmness...the world seems to become slow motion.........
